Team of 5 members running 200m each, as a relay.

Fittest Start up Relay – 6.25 pm
A team of four runners have to complete a circuit of 4X2.5km = 10 km + by dividing the distance among them to achieve the goal.
IT City Fun Run – 6.30 pm
A flagship event of BMM is a 5 Km run packed with fun.
Open 10K Run – 8.30 pm
The 10k run is branded the dream run where the runners rub shoulders with the other enthusiasts and fitness ambassadors of the events.
Full Marathon – 10.30 pm
The marathon is a 42.195 kilometer race in the heart of the city’s famed IT section.
Half Marathon – 10.40 pm
As the name suggests, this is half the distance of the full marathon. Covering a distance of 21.09 km, it is still a test of the strength and stamina for athletes everywhere.

Corporate Relay – 10.50 pm
A team of four runners have to complete a circuit of 20 km + by dividing the distance among them to achieve the goal.

Before the Race

Please collect your teams bib & timing chips from the helpdesk near the start line between 10 pm to 10.15 pm, 7th December

Please report by 10:30 PM near the start line.

About Relay

Yes. Bibs would be numbered as serial number + “A”, “B”,”C”,”D”. All the runners have to run in the same order as their bib numbers. 

All runners have to start behind the timing mat and also cross over the timing mat before the baton is switched to the next runner. There will be three timing mats which needs to be crossed by all the runners. The baton switching needs to be performed behind the timing mat.

Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor Charitable Trust is the primary charity that is affiliated to this event. Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor Charitable Trust uses the funds collected at the Marathon for its various charitable initiatives such as supporting spine surgeries, eye surgeries, brain and heart surgeries, polio vaccinations, education, mid-day meals for government school children, environmental projects and more. Some of the projects:

Work with 7 Government schools in the area (covering 2000+ kids)

Work with villages to construct toilets. 150 toilets built in B. Thimmasandra Village.

Conduct blood donation camps (last year collected over 2000 units)

Sponsor corrective surgeries for people with permanent vertebral deformation

Work with the local population in arresting glaucoma and other eye ailments

Plant trees in and around Whitefield (cumulative 50,000+)

Race results will be available on the website on 9th Dec. You can download your certificate from the website directly.

Yes, all participants of the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Run with timing chip can download their certificate from the website. No Certificates will be given to participants of these races without timing chip. Participation Certificates for the IT City Fun Run, Corporate Relays and Community Relay will be distributed at the venue on completion of the event.

The baggage hold will be near the start point of all the races at the holding area. Please check attached map.

Adequate parking space is available at KTPO . Parking direction sign boards will be put up near the venue.

Traffic will not be allowed on the track. The lanes will be closed and will be used only for athletes.

Yes, medical facilities will be available at the venue and along the race route. There will be 6 ambulances at the venue and race route to deal with medical emergencies. There will also be a 20 bed clinic at the venue with about 15 doctors on call throughout.

Yes. All locations across the course will be manned by police personnel, private security services and hundreds of volunteers.

Apart from the races, the BMM 2019 will have live performances by musicians, dancers and bands to entertain the participants. It will be a carnival environment where your family and friends can join to cheer you.

Lighting arrangements have been made. In case of a power failure generators have been setup.

Water will be provided free of cost to all runners of BMM 2019. Food can be purchased from the food stalls that will be setup at the venue.

Portable toilets will be located at the staging area and along the course as well.

The track will be free of traffic till 3 am, which will give all Marathon and Half Marathon participants 6 hours to complete. These are earmarked in the map shared.
